Corporate training. Learning by Doing

StrategicSolutions > Corporate training. Learning by Doing

With a high degree of probability, corporate training is a traditional tool for improving the qualifications of your employees, but does the final result always meet your expectations, and most importantly, the company’s goals?

What should a training program be like to lead to a change in daily established practices that can overcome internal resistance of the staff, improve the efficiency of business processes and achieve target market and financial indicators?

Main criterion — integration

  • The knowledge gained should be common to the entire team responsible for solving the business task set at the company level
  • You must be sure that the training is not for “general development”, but has performance metrics related to the performance of your organization or its unit
  • Training should include a practical part to practice methodology and get feedback. You should come to a workshop rather than a lecture
  • You must receive the methodology in full, with arguments and rationale for each step. You need to be sure that training will at least not harm your employees, and at most it will become a tool for increasing operational or strategic efficiency.

Based on our expertise in projects and teaching at a business school, we created corporate workshops to solve the following categories of business tasks: find a breakthrough development idea, significantly increase operational efficiency, focus the team and find a development area for a period of 1 year.

The programs result in the launch of systemic development or changes in the activities of organizations in general or critical business processes, and not on-spot improvements in individual processes:

Development of a breakthrough business development idea and a winning strategy in the market Finding and implementing the most efficient way to change the company or get out of a crisis quickly: the horizon is 1-1.5 years Modeling business processes and organizational structure

Rebuilding the organization through the logic of value creation

Finding (embedding in business processes) sources of increasing operational efficiency: revenue growth, marginality, cost optimization

Agile strategy development

Completing the program will enable you to update the company’s strategy and find a new development vector when the need arises: both with the aim of further growth through emerging market opportunities, and as a response to adverse external factors.

Participants are people who can think strategically, see the future for 3-5 years and are able to break away from the current operating system. This is a program for TOP management and personnel reserve.

After completing the program, you will be able to answer the following questions:

  • What the company needs for development, growth and capitalization: defining a business task to be solved at a strategic level. Diagnostics of the own interests and company’s interests: how to work with it?
  • How can you find a way to scale and transform your business through strategy development?
  • How to plan and prepare the strategy development process? From the formation of goals and plan to the selection of a team and the choice of cases for solving
  • How to implement the strategy through the development of a targeted top-level organizational architecture and a plan for specific initiatives?

Company development management. BizDev

The program is focused on finding quick and efficient solutions, self-diagnosis and drawing up a roadmap of initiatives to achieve strategic goals, taking into account the external and internal contexts, including the search for a potential conflict of interest for the owner, the TOP team and the organization as a separate entity.

Participants are people to be involved in the development and implementation of solutions in the operational activities of the enterprise, i.e. process owners, not run-of-the-scale performers.

After completing the program, you will be able to answer the following questions:

  • What does a business as a system need for development, and what do owners and stakeholders expect? How to find common interests? How to deal with interest gaps?
  • How to determine the company’s potential and the safety margin of the system? Are our core competencies out of date? Does the company have a core? How to define and create it?
  • Business development strategy: what is new to create, what to change, and what to keep in the company in order to bring it to sustainable market and financial results?
  • How to balance: simultaneously strengthen the core of the company and develop flexibility in an environment of constant change, uncertainty and scarcity of resources?
  • How to transform strategic solutions into action?

Improving company’s efficiency: implementation of process management

The Business Process Modeling software provides tools that enable to see the general picture of the business, transform business processes into understandable diagrams in the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) model.

During the course, we emphasize the importance of creating value in each process, this value is created for specific customers both inside the organization and outside it – in the market.

If the process product does not meet customer expectations, the process should be reconsidered. In our practice, we often come across situations when certain processes should be completely abandoned, they continued to exist for a long time only thanks to the historical tradition, and created value only for “performers”. In international practice, such management system is called “functional”.

Changing the management system from functional to process will allow you to focus your business on achieving your goals. With the help of business processes (process approach), you can improve in-house interaction, increase dramatically the efficiency of the team and the entire organization at times.

Participants are people who will be involved in the development and implementation of solutions in the operational activities of the enterprise, i.e. process owners, not run-of-the-scale performers.

After completing the program, you will be able to answer the following questions:

  • How does your business model work, how is value being created now, and how is it monetized? What are the main redistributions in the value chain (duration and cost, marginality)?
  • How to assess the level of interaction in the system?
  • How to identify bottlenecks? How to eliminate them and fulfill potential opportunities for improving operational efficiency, establish clear interaction in business processes, using the best world standards and the experience of market leaders?
  • How to transform strategy into a business process model?
  • How to model business processes that create value for customers and employees of the organization?
  • How to formulate a clear plan for the implementation of the target model subject to account resource constraints?

Training format: on-site 2-day modules in locations far away from your work environment and with mobile phones off for deep involvement in the process.
